Zaytūn International Academy(ZIA) has, AlhamduliLlah, taken an initiative to promote both excellent academic education together with Hifz-al- Qur’an. It was noticed that many parents wished for their sons to do Hifz without compromising on their academic education, in a comfortable and safe campus. This would enable the child to complete the Hifz program and rejoin in the mainstream education if needed in the class according to their age.
We are fortunate that ZIA is able to offer both Islamic and Academic Education on a full boarding basis. Children will be taught to memorise the Quran with tajweed, in addition to academic education following the renowned Cambridge Curriculum. ZIA aims to prepare our children to become Hafiz-ul-Qur’an between 3-4 years on average.
Zaytūn International Academy provides an environment in which the students can learn, understand and practice the Islamic way of life, simultaneously striving for excellence in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English and Social Studies. It moulds the students’ personality according to righteous Islamic tenets and inculcates in them the values and concepts of caring, sharing and being aware of the world around them.
Zaytūn International Academy is enrolling boys as full-time students for the Hifz-al-Qur’an classes. These students learn Tajweed and memorise the Qur’an within 3 - 4 years on average, contingent upon student ability and parental support. Students receive instruction in the subject of Tajweed and Qira'a (reading and recitation) and are formally introduced to the subject of Hifz (memorisation). Upon achieving reading fluency, students are directed towards intense efforts at memorisation with concomitant instruction in Qira'a. Students then finish and polish their learning of memorisation and recitation.
AlhamduliLlah, the formal subjects at the Zaytūn International Academy is taught in accordance to the globally acclaimed IGCSE curriculum format of the Cambridge University, UK. They are taught with additional correlation to their Islamic context and references too. Modern information and communication technology and audio-visual facilities are provided to the students to impart better quality and effective education.
Approximately 25 students per class and a teacher to student ratio of less than 1:5 facilitates better student teacher relationship and individual attention to students, to bring out the best of learning and potential in each student.
The Zaytūn International Academy is affiliated to the IGCSE Board, Cambridge University, UK.
